RESOLUTION NO. 80-76
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF AN APPLICATION WITH THE
REGIONAL TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY FOR A GRANT UNDER THE SERVICE
DEVELOPMENT/DEMONSTRATION GRANT PROGRAM BY THE VILLAGE OF ELK
GROVE VILLAGE
WHEREAS, the Regional Transportation Authority is authorized to make
grants for service development/demonstration projects, and
WHEREAS, the contract for financial assistance will impose certain
obligations upon the applicant, including the provision by it of the local
share of project costs:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, State of
Illinois:
Section 1 . That the Village President Charles J. Zettek is authorized
to execute and file an application on behalf of the Village
of Elk Grove Village with the Regional Transportation Author-
ity to aid in the financing of two Dial-A-Ride buses which
will provide transportation within the residential and com-
mercial areas of the Village. Residents wishing to use this
service can call a dispatcher and the bus will be sent to
pick up the resident at his home or other location, and take
him to his desired destination in the Village. The buses
will be of the yellow school bus variety, 17 passenger
capacity.
Section 2. That a fixed route bus would be in service on Saturdays to
take residents to and from the Woodfield Shopping Center.
Section 3. That the Village President, Charles J. Zettek is authorized
to furnish such additional information as the Regional Trans-
portation may require in connection with the application of
the project.
Section 4. That this resolution shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage and approval according to law.
