WHFR.`aS, on January 9, 1973, the Village Board of Trustees
authorized the particination of the Fare Depart.^ent ambu2ance service
in the Nortlr✓esL ;obi 2e Intensive Care System, ar:d
WHEEEAS, the com,nuaiti.es narti.cipating in the Northwest mobile
Intensive Care System are utilizing t}.e Pioneer vedical Systems radio
con®unications and telemetering e1u_i.,cc:ent, and
WHEREAS, the llorth:dest Mobile Intensive Care System desires to
have all particiDatirq co.:=Lnities utilize the sa"^e tune of radio
communications and telemetering epuipr:ent for the followinq-rurposes:
1. To facilitate replacement of out -of -order equipment with
spare equipment, and
2. To provide con -oatibility when, in time of disaster,
Paramedics from one community might be working with equip-
ment of another community, and
WHEREAS, the Village of Elk Grove Village was required to
utilize the same type of equipment upon initial Darticipation in the
Paramedic program and in equipping Ambulance 124, and
WHEREAS, Medtronic Sales Company of Elmhurst, Illinois is the
local distributor of Pioneer P"edical Systems,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village that the necessary radio
co:mnunications and telemetering equipmOnt for Paramedic Ambulance 123
be purchased from Medtronic Sales Company of 318 'forth York Road,
Elmhurst, Illinois, at a cost not to exceed $8,275.00, said funds to
come from Federal Revenue Sharing monies and that the purchase order
be issuer] without public bidding.
This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage and approval according to law.
