HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTION - 42-74 - 5/14/1974 - ESTAB NOTIF PROCED FOR PUBLIC HEARINGSRESOLUTION NO. 42-74 A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING NOTIFICATION PROCEDURES FOR PUBLIC HEARINGS IN THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, State of Illinois: Section 1. That the following notification procedures for public hearings are hereby established. The Village of Elk Grove Village will: A. I. In accordance with the Illinois State Statutes, cause a legal notice of time, place, and purpose of the public hearing to be published in a newspaper of general cir- culation within the Village of Elk Grove Village not more than thirty (30) days nor less than fifteen (15) days in advance of such hearing. 2. Provide a written notice to all property owners and/or residents within 300 feet of the subject property under petition, exclusive of streets and rights-of-way, including publicly owned property. It shall be at the determination of the President and Board of Trustees that notification be given to any county or municipality or school district or regional planning agency whose boundary includes or is within 300 feet, exclusive of streets and rights-of-way, of the subject property under petition. Written notice shall be served in'person or by mail, not more than thirty (30) days nor less than ten (10) days prior to the scheduled public hearing date. Notification of concerned parties shall be certified to the hearing body by the Village Clerk's Office. l� ii ;3. ' FP This notification will contain (1 ) the nature and purpose of the hearing, (2 ) the common address and location of the property in question, (3 ) the approximate area size of the subject property, (4 ) the time and place of the hearing, (5 ) the name and address of the petitioner and owner, if not the petitioner, of the property, and (6) the address where information may be obtained concerning the petition. B. The petitioner will: . 1.) Post at each street frontage of the subject property, a wooden or metal placard (s) or sign (s) four (4) feet by eight (8) feet in size with letters of sufficient size as to be clearly legible to the public view on the nearest public way, for at least ten (10) consecutive days prior to the public hearing. The sign (s) or placard (s) shall include the following information: 1, The nature and purpose of the hearing. 2. The common address or location of the property in question. 3. The approximate area size of the subject property. 4. The time and place of the hearing. 2.) Remove the placard (s) or sign (s) within five day's after the public hearing is terminated. Section 2: That established notification Procedures for public hearings shall apply but not be limited to: A. Annexation of property(when requested zoning is different than indicated on official map of Elk Grove) B. Pre -Annexation Agreements ( 2 ) C, Zoning Variations D. Rezoning E. Special Use Permits Section 3: That this resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval according to law. PASSED this 14th day of May , 1974.
