A RESOLUTION APPROVING A REVISION TO THE PAID HOLIDAY POLICY OF THE
PERSONNEL, RULES OF THE VILLAG.E OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, State of
Illinois;
Section 1 . That the President and Board of Trustees do hereby approve
the following revision to the Paid Holiday policy of the Personnel Rules of
the Village of Elk Grove Village;
Village employees will receive in addition to the regular
holidays (New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day,
Labor Day, Veteran' s Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas
Day) two (2) additional ''Floating Holidays" to be taken
at the convenience of the employee with the approval of
the Department Head. Employees failing to take their
floating holidays during the course of the year would not
receive compensation nor additional time off as a carry-
over into the next year.
(inasmuch as one-half of Calendar 1973 has been completed,
it is recommended that one (1 ) floating holiday be extended
Village employees with the approval of the Department Heard
prior to December 31 , 1973)
Section 2. That this resolution shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage and approval according to law.
PASSED this 3rd day of July 1973,
