A RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF U.S. SENATE BILL 5.2994 "PUBLIC OFFICERS
AND VICTIMS OF CRIME ACT OF 1272''.

WHEREAS, the United States Senate has before it, Senate Bill No. S.2994
to be enacted upon by the Senate and the House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled, and
WHEREAS, this bill is to provide for the compensation of innocent victims
of violent crime in need; to snake grants to States for the payment of such
compensation; to authorize an insurance program and death and disability
benefits for public safety officers; to provide civil remedies for victims
of racketeering activity; and for other purposes, and
WHEREAS, this act may be cited as the "Victims of Crime Act of 1972".
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, State of
Illinois, does hereby adopt this resolution in support of Senate Bill No.
S. 2994.
