A RESOLUTION COMMENDING HARRY J. WALSH, JR.
WHEREAS, Harry J. Walsh, Jr. , performed distinguished service to
the Village of Elk Grove Village as a member of the Elk Grove Village
Police Department from December 1 , 15163 to August 15, 1972, and
WHEREAS, Harry J. Walsh, Jr. , through meritorious service, was
promoted through the ranks from patrolman to police sergeant on June 1 ,
1966; and to lieutenant of police on November 1 , 1969; and served as
Services Unit Commander in the Police Department from November 1 , 1969,
until his resignation August 15, 1972, and
WHEREAS, Harry J. Walsh, Jr. , has been appointed, effective August
15, 1972, to become Chief of Police for the Village of Buffalo Grove ,
State of Illinois; and, by attaining this position has brought. esteem to
the Village of Elk Grove Village and the Elk Grove Police Department;
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED, by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, State of
Illinois , that Harry J. Walsh, Jr. , is hereby commended for the success he
has attained in his chosen profession, and is hereby proclaimed to be the
Honored Citizen of the Village of Elk Grove Village, this 5th day of
September, 1972. /
