A RESOLUTION HONORING THE ELK GROVE HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL TEAM
WHEREAS, the ELK GROVE HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL TEAM has distinguished itself
by becoming the 1972 Mid-Suburban League Football Champion; and
WHEREAS, the team, by several football authorities, was accorded the honor
of being ranked as the No. 1 football team in the State of Illinois; and
WHEREAS, the Grenadiers provided their fans with an excellent season high-
lighted by fine coaching and exceptional individual team effort by its football
players; and
WHEREAS, Principal Robert Haskell , Athletic Director Robert Tipsword, Head
Varsity Coach Don Schnake, Assistant Coaches Brendan Flynn and Britton Farroh and
the following team members:

made this possible; and
WHEREAS, the Championship was won as a result of the overall determination,
self sacrifice and dedication displayed by the above mentioned coaches and players;
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois, as follows:
SECTION 1 : That the Elk Grove High School Grenadiers are hereby commended
for the honor they have bestowed upon the Village and High School by winning the
Mid-Suburban League Football Championship.
SECTION 2: That this resolution shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and approval according to law.
