FEE SCHEDULES
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of
the Village of. Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, State of
Illinois:
Section 1: PLAN REVIEW
Preliminary Plan Review services shall be performed for a fee
not to be in excess of one half of the established fee normally
charged for full and final plan review and approval. Any fees
paid for said preliminary review shall not be credited toward
the cost for final plan review work.
A Plan Review for each set of plans for single family
residence - . . . . $10.00
A Plan Review for each set of plans for single family
residence for alteration, remodeling or detached
structure - . . . . $5.00
The applicant for a building permit for any other type of con-
struction shall pay the following fees when making application
for the purpose of deferring Village expense in examining and
reviewing plans and specifications:

*Plan Review fees are at a reduced rate when the Basic Building, Basic
Plumbing and Basic Mechanical Codes are utilized.
**Fee for use groups B (Storage) and D (Industrial) is $0.85 for each
10,000 cu. ft. in excess of 350,000.
***Fee for use groups B (Storage)and D (Industrial) is $1.00 for each
10,000 cu. ft. in excess of 350,000.
The MINIMUM fee for reviewing plans for minor interior alterations and re-
modeling for other than single family residences shall not be less than ... $10,00.
Any additional and exceptional expenses incurred by the Village for Plan Review
NOT covered by the above fees shall be paid by the applicant.
Section 2: BUILDING PERMIT FEES

Sign Fees:
A. Permit fees - Every applicant before being granted an
original permit hereunder shall pay to the Village the
following permit fee for each sign structure:

1. Non -illuminated signs --$10.00 plus $.10 per square
foot of sign surface area of the proposed sign
2. Illuminated signs --$15.00 plus $.10 per square
foot of sign surface area of the proposed sign.
B. Annual inspection fees - The Building Department shall
inspect annually, or more frequently as they deem necessary,
each sign regulated by this Article and for which a permit
is required, for the purpose of ascertaining whether the
same is secure or insecure and whether it is in need of
removal or repair. To meet the expense of such inspection
the permittee thereof shall pay to the Village the sum of
one-half of the then required permit fee for illuminated
signs and $3.50 plus $.05 per square foot for each square
foot in excess of 40 square feet for non -illuminated
signs. No inspection fee as required by this paragraph
shall be charged during the fiscal year in which the
sign or other advertising device is erected.

B. In other than single family dwellings the inspection fee
of each nominal 15 ampere and 20 ampere two wire circuit,
including fixtures, sockets or receptacles, the fee shall

C. For the inspection of a 30 ampere fixed lighting circuit, the
inspection fee is double the amount of a 15 or 20 ampere circuit
fee.
D. Motors and other forms of Power consuming devices. For the
inspection of each electric motor or Power consuming device
other than lighting fixtures, the inspection fee shall be as
follows:
One motor or Power consuming device $5.00
For each additional motor or Power consuming
device 1.50 each
This fee is to be applied to all motors over !4 horsepower.
Motors of 14 horsepower or_ less are to be charged on equivalent
incandescent lamp basin.

E. Fixtures, Sockets and Receptacles on existing circuits (Lamps
of 50 wats) (Not including circuit wiring).

Above 200 Lamps: 30 cents for each group of 25
lamps or fraction thereof.
F. Service entrances --$7.50
G. Minimum Inspection Fee. do inspection shall be made for a less amount
than $5.00. All fees herein provided shall be paid to the Village
before a permit is issues.
H. Whenever extra inspections are required due to inaccurate or in-
correct information, a cr.arge of five ($5.00) dollars per hour
shall be made by the Electrical Inspection Department for the
time consumed in making extra inspections.
I. ALL PERMIT FEES EXCEPT PERIODIC PERMIT FEES will be paid in advance
to the Village.

7. Plumbing fees - The fees for plumbing permit shall be three
dollars ($3.00) for each plumbing fixture including plumbing
system, bathtub, lavatories, closets, sinks, laundry tubs,
drinking fountains, shower receptacles, urinals, soda fountains,
and traps shall be considered fixtures.
8. Mechanical fees - $5.00 for each heating plant or unit.
$5.00 for each cooling unit (air conditioning)•
9. Certificate of Occupancy - $5.00.
10. Driveway apron - $10.00 each.
11. Construction water - Minimum $5.00 or $1..00 per each 1,000 sq.ft.
of building.
12. Renew building permit - $1.00 for six month renewal.
13. Storage tanks - $2.00 for tanks up to 1,000 gallons plus $.50
for each 1,000 gallons thereafter.
14. For the installation of fuel oil tanks having a capacity of more
than two thousand (2,000) gallons and less than 20,000 gallons -
$75.00.
For the installation of tanks for storage of gasoline having a
capacity of less than 10,000 gallons - $75.00.
For the installation of fuel oil tanks having a capacity of
20,000 gallons or more - $75.00.
For the installation of gasoline storage tanks having a capacity
of 1,000 or over - $75.00.
Section 3:
That the Village President and Village Clerk are hereby authorized
to sign said fee schedule for and in the name of the Village and
attach thereto the corporate seal.
Section 4:
That this resolution shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and approval according to law.
