Resolution in Support of a Nominee for the
1972 Award "BAR'DIEK OF THE YEAR"
WHEREAS the name of Vincent B. Lawrence has been submitted for
recognition as the Barber of the Year 1972, in competi-
tion sponsored by the Men's Hair Stylists & Barbers
Journal, and
WHEREAS the nomination of Vincent B. Lawrence has been supported
by local and regional barbers and hair stylists in the
Chicago area, and
14HEREAS Vincent B. Lawrence has been an active civic and social
resident of the Village of Elk Grove Village since
May 31, 1958, and
WHEREAS Mr. Lawrence has' actively contributed to the Village Cub
Scout and Boy Scout programs as a Cub Master and a
Committeeman, and
WHEREAS Vincent B. Lawrence has actively participated in the Lions
Club of Elk Grove Village in many civic and social events,
and
WHEREAS Vincent B. Lawrence, his wife Carolyn, and two sons, Thomas
and John, have been active in the religious faith of their
choosing, and
WHEREAS Vincent B. Lawrence has, since 1964, operated a Barber & Hair
Styling Shop adjacent to the Village of Elk Grove Village,

catering to the needs of residents, businesses, and industrial
firms, and
WHEREAS on or about October 1, 1971, Vincent B. Lawrence's "Men's World
of Barbering" will occupy new and modern facilities at 567
Landmeier Road, within the Village of Elk Grove Village, and
WHEREAS Vincent B. Lawrence has consistently performed said services at
a high professional standard,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the nomination of Vincent B. Lawrence
for the Barber of the Year 1972 Award is hereby supported and
endorsed by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Elk Grove Village, on behalf of the residents of Elk Grove
Village, Illinois.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be presented in
time for formal consideration in New York City, New York, on
November 15, 1971, by the Men's Hair Stylists and Barber Journal,
16 West 46th Street, New York, New York J.0036, to the attention
of the Selection Committee BARBER OF THE YEAR AWARD 1972.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the foregoing Resolution be duly signed by
the Village President and Village Clerk of the Village of Elk
Grove Village, Cook and Du Page Counties, Illinois.
