APPEALS AND THE COOK COUNTY CLERK FOR TRANS-
MITTAL TO THE COOK COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS,
PROTESTING ANY CHANGE IN THE COOK COUNTY ZONING
ORDINANCE TEXT WHICH HAS AS ITS PURPOSE REDUCING
TO. FIVE ACRES. LAND AREA NECESSARY TO QUALIFY AS
A PLANNED DEVELOPMENTL__DOCKET NO , 1856 ZA-A-70-71
WHEREAS, it has come to the attention of the President and

ing the area requirements of land to 5 acres to qualify as a
Planned Development under said text; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Elk Grove Village have kept themselves well advised in the
field of planning and zoning and development in the unincorporated
areas and in neighboring municipalities ; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Elk Grove Village have noted that in many instances , developers
have sought to use the Planned Development concept as a device to
intensify land useage and encourage speculative value; and
WHEREAS, from a planning standpoint, it becomes extremely
difficult to tie together various planned developments unless
they are geographically large in size, especially in relation to
roads, water and sewer requirements and the like; and
WHEREAS, decreasing the size of land developments would
multiply logical planning procedures and problems and far from
contributing to good planning, would detract from same,

Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook
r
and DuPage, Illinois :
Section l : That it wishes to register its official
objection to any amendment to the Cook County Zoning text re-
ducing the size of planned developments to five acres, since it
feels that reducing the requirements would contribute to bad
planning, multiply problems and benefit land speculation, rather
than the public benefit;

and effect from and after its passage and approval according to
law;
Section 3 : That the Village Clerk is hereby directed to
submit the foregoing resolution to all governmental bodies having
jurisdiction and an interest in the development of the premises as
