j1Hr.l?'AS, if the people of the State of Illinois adopt the Anti-Pollution
Bond Act at the general election on Rovcnbor 3, 1970, in the
amount of $750,.000,000, the cost of such pollution abatement

would lessen to local cau unities by reason of cree.ting funds
which would make it possible to se,ure greater amounts of Federal
funds,
WhEREAS, the State of Illinois has zdvized that the adoption of the said
bond issue will not increase State taxes as the principal and
interest on said bond issue will be paid from general revenue funds
of the State of Illinois; and
WHEREAS, through the bond issue the share of the cost of the individual
municipality or sanitary district will be approximately 251") instead.

WHEREAS, adoption of the Pollution Bond. Act requires a majority of those
voting at the general election on hovember 3, 1970, which means
that those failing to vote on said bond issue are in effect
casting a negative vote..
NOW, TLMRE.FORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Village of Elk Grove Village hereby
expresses its support for said bond issue and urgas all citizens
to cast an affirmative vote thereon in the General Election on
November 3, 1970•
