CANVASSING RESOLUTION
WHEREAS the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and Du Page
Illinois, did heretofore, on January 21, 1969, adopt Ordinance
No. 590, for the submission to the legal voters of said Village,
at a special election called and held in and for said Village on
the 15th day of February, 1969, the following question:
" Shall bonds in the amount of $1,040,000.00 be
issued by the Village of Elk Grove Village, Cook
and Du Page Counties, Illinois, for the purpose
of paying the cost of constructing two (2) municipal
buildings in and for said Village on the property
now owned by said Village and located on Biesterfield
Road just east of Wellington Avenue, one building to
be a fire station and one to be a combination police
station and Village Hall bearing interest at the rate
of not to exceed six per. cent (6) per annum?
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of said
Village did cause notice of said special election to be given by
the Village Clerk not more than thirty (30) days nor less than
fifteen (15) days prior to the date of said special election by
publishing notice thereof once on the ntt: day of JnnLisr,r
19G^3 in the Elk Grove Herald and the Du Page County Register,
same being newspapers in and having general circulation within
said Village, which notice as so published, did specify the places
where such election was to be held, the time of opening and closing
of the polls, and the questions to be voted upon, copy of said
notice with an affidavit of publication attached thereto, being
now on file and a part of the official records of the President
and Board of Trustees of this Village and being in words and figures
as follows:

and,
WHEREAS said election was duly and legally held and con-
ducted by proper persons so appointed to act as judges for said
special election and the questions submitted at said election were
submitted upon proper ballots, said ballots being in words and
figures as follows:

and,
WHEREAS, the election returns have been presented to
and have been canvassed by the President and Board of Trustees
of said Village:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and
Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties
of Cook and DuPage, Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That the total number of votes cast at
said election, as shown on the polls list was,

Section 2: That on the question of issuing bonds in
the sum of $11040,000.00 for the purpose of paying the cost of
constructing two (2) municipal buildings in and for said Village
on the property now owned by said Village and located on
Biesterfield Road just east of Wellington Avenue, one building
to be a fire station and one to be a combination police station
and. Village hall, the votes cast thereon were as follows:

Section 3: It is hereby found, determined and. declared

of record that on the question of issuing bonds in the sum of
$1,040,000.00 for the purpose of paying the cost of constructing
two.(2) municipal buildings in and for said Village on the
property now owned by said Village and located on Westerfield
Road just east of Wellington Avenue, one building to be a fire
station and one to be a combination police station and Village
hall, said question did receive the approval of a majority of
electors of said Village and said question has been approved and
carried.
Section 4: That all orders or resolutions in conflict
herewith be and the same are, to the extent of such conflict,
hereby repealed, and that this resolution be in full force and
effect immediately and forthwith upon its adoption.
