LOCATED ON THE NORTH SIDE OF HIGGINS ROAD APPROXIMATELY 2200 FEET WEST OF BUSSE ROAD - WHEREAS Robert. A. Car.r.ane and Arnold W. Garlisch are the owners of the property legally described as follows: LEGAL Beginning at a point in the west line of the South- east Quarter of Section 22, Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois, which is 971.0 feet South of the Center of: said Section and 361.8 feet North of the Center line of Higgins Road; thence East at right angles to the West Line of the southeast Quarter of said Section 22, 460 feet; thence South at right angles to the last described line to the center line of Higgins Road; thence Northwesterly along the center line of said Higgins Road to the West line of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 22; thence North along the West line of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 22 to the place of beginning (Except the West 344 feet: measured along the North line thereof- and at right angles to the West Line of the Southeast Quarter of Section 2.2, Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois.. and'have petitioned for the re -zoning of said property approximately 3/4 acre in size from its present R-4 Residence Di -strict to B-5 General Commercial District, and WHEREAS the Village of Elk Grove Village is within 14 miles of subject property and entitled to file objections thereto, and WHEREAS said case has been docketed as Docket No. 1449 by the Cook County Zoning Board of. Appeals. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees, of. the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and Du Page, Illinois: Section 1. That the Village of Elk Grove Village does hereby object to the re -zoning of said property as petitioned for the following reasons: - 1 - (a) That zoning of the property to the B-5 (Business) Zone permits uses which would not be permitted in Elk Grove Village which has zoned property E-1 with annexation restrictions which prevent the adjacent property to be used only as follows: Clothing or apparel stores, food shops, dry goods and variety stores, art and school supplies, banks (except for drive in facilities), boobs and stationery stores, camera and photo supply stones, drug stores, dry cleaning and laundry receiving stations (processing done elsewhere), hardware, decorating shops and "Paint & Wallpaper" shops, hobby and pet shops (for retail items and merchandise assembled or used away from premises), interior decorating shops, jewelry stores (including watch repair), music stores, restaurants (excluding "drive-in" restaurants), shoe repair and tailor shops, sporting goods stores (excluding camping trailer sales & rental), toy stores, barber and beauty shops, currency exchanges, florist shops, gift shops, professional and business offices, medical and dental clinics, telephone booths, governmental facilities, public utility facilities, and permitted signs (b) That the proposed use particularly in permitting the outside storage of farm equipment will lower surrounding property value. Section 2. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and publication according to law.
