Turner y.illage Clerk- - ---�_.---- Resolution 69-7 Elk Grove Park District RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING USE OF PORTION OF THE MAINTENANCE GARAGE BY THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE AS AN INTERIM FIRE STATION WHEREAS, the Village of Elk Grove Village has declared a need for additional fire station facilities in the area of the Park District's administrative and maintenance building, and WHEREAS, in the interest of municipal cooperation, the Park District desires to furnish such facilities to the Village. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of the Elk Grove Park District as follows: 1. The Park District shall permit the use of one bay of its maintenance garage located on Biesterfield Road at Leicaster Road for use as a temporary fire station.' 2. The Village at its own expense may place a house trailer on the Park District premises near or adjacent to the maintenance garage for the purpose of housing its personnel and may further construct an enclosed ramp running to the door of said maintenance garage provided that adequate security is maintained and that adequate access for Park District personnel is retained. 3. The Village will have the right to tap into the Park District's water supply, utilize its bathroom facilities and install an electric door on the bay used by it, it being understood that all expenses incurred by the Park District and the Village as the result and arising out of the use of the Park District building by the fire department shall be bo_^ne by the Village. 4. Use of said facility shall be granted until the Village shall have acquired adequate facilities to substitute for those being furnished hereunder, provided, however, that in no event shall the use of such facilities continue for more than 15 months from the date hereof without further action of the Board of Commissioners. 5. The existing driveway running from the Maintenance building will be extended on to Biesterfield Road and such additional parking areas as shall be reasonable and deemed appropriate and satisfactory to the Director of Parks and Recreation will be constructed and such cost shared equally by the Park District and the Village. 6. The Park District will accept and utilize the garage space offered to the Park District at the old fi.;:a station for the purpose of storing Park District vehicle:: and equipment. 7. The use of said facility shall be conditioned upon the Village furnishing to the Park District evidence of general liability insurance in form and content and with carriers satisfactory to the Board of Commissioners re- flecting by endorsement or otherwise the Park District as an additional insured and a satisfactory indemnification.
