A RESOLUTION COMMENDING THE ELY. GROVE VILLAGE
LITTLE LEAGUES 1969 TRAVELING TEAM AND
CERTAIN PERSONS
WHEREAS, the Elk Grove Village Little Leagues 1969 Traveling
Team has represented the Village and has competed against over ninety
teams in three tournaments, and has distinguished themselves by
obtaining third place in the Berwyn Tournament, fourth place in the
Thillens Tournament, and fifth place in the Highwood Tournament, and
has thereby shown ability, sportsmanship and is deserving of the
official appreciation of the Village; and
WHEREAS, certain persons hereinafter mentioned have aided,
encouraged and participated in this endeavor and deserve the special
commendation of the Village;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Elk Crove Village, Counties of Cook and
DuPage, State of Illinois:
Section 1. That all members of the Elk Grove Village: Little
Leagues 1969 Traveling Team are hereby commended for representing the
Village in the Berwyn Tournament, the Thillens Tournament, and the
Highwood Tournament and for obtaining the third, fourth, and fifth
Place Trophies of said tournaments; and for demonstrating not only
ability but good sportsmanship, which is necessary to the building
of good moral character in youth.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Tom Spces, Don Pippin, Mark
Vormittag, Keith Van Hauter, Steve Carroll, Eugene Tomczyk, Jim Samuel,
John Fleming, Mark Sokniewicz, Bob Brunn, Steve Pritchard, Mike Brandt,
Doug Roden, Glenn Stromberg, Dave Millncr, Jim Hammers, Randy Romano
and the Manager, Mr. Fred Brunn and the Coaches, Mr. Ron Kohler and
Mr. Jim Hammers are hereby especially commended for making the foregoing
accomplishment a reality.

Section 2, The Villace Clerk is hereby directed to send
a certified copy of this resolutionto the Elk Grove Village Little
League and each member thereof as welt as all persons named therein.
Section 3• This resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval according to law.
