RESOLUTION NO. .J-61
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ME TRANSFERENCE OF TITLE OF THE VILLAGE' S
PORTION OF THE GRANT WOOD SCHOOL TO THE ELK GROVE PARK DISTRICT,
TOGETHER WITH ALL PERSONAL PROPERTY LOCATED THEREON OWNED BY THE
VILLAGE.
WHEREAS, the Elk Grove Park District was organized for the purpose
of improving, developing and maintaining existing parks and
recreational facilities; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Elk Grove Village is the present owner of
a portion of the Grant Wood School, legally described herein,
together with certain personal property located thereon; and
WHEREAS, the territories of the Village of Elk Grove Village lie
within the territories of the Elk Grove Park District in its
entirety and both municipalities serve substantially the same
citizenry; and
WHEREAS, the Elk Grove Park District has passed an ordinance
declaring a public need for that portion of the Grant Wood School
owned by the Village and requesting transfer of title to same
together with all personal property owned by the Village and
located thereon, in accordance with State Statutes; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Elk Grove Village believe it to be to the best interest of the
citizens of Elk Grove Village that that portion of the Grant
Wood School, the legal description of which is set forth on
Exhibit 1 attached hereto and made a part hereof, be transferred
to the Elk Grove Park District, together with all personal property
owned by the Village and located thereon.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook
and DuPage, Illinois :
Section 1. That the President of the Village, for and on behalf
of the Village, be authorized and directed to transfer title to
real estate described on exhibit 1 attached, to the Elk Grove
Park District for the sum of one dollar ($1. 00) subject to restric-
tions and covenants of record, real estate taxes if any, together
with any and all interests which the Village of Elk Grove Village
may have in any personal property located thereon as of date hereof.
Section 2. That the Village President and Village Clerk shall
execute such deeds and bills of sale and other documents as may
be necessary to instrument the provisions above referred to.
Section 3 . That this resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval according to law.

LEGAL DESCRIPTION
That portion of Lot 9 in First Addition to Elk Grove Village
Section 7, being a. Subdivision in Section 33, Township 41 North,
Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian, lying easterly
of a line drawn parallel to and 295.0 feet East of the West Line
of said Lot, also the North 172.91 feet of the East 110.27 feet
of the West 295.0 feet of said Lot, in Cook County, Illinois.
ALSO
That part of Lot 9 in First Addition to Elk Grove Village Section 7,
being a resubdivision of Lot 2256 in Elk Grove Village Section 7,
being a subdivision in Section 33, Township 41 North, Range 11 East
of the Third Principal Meridian, described as follows: Beginning at a
point on the north line of said lot 46.72 feet East of the Northwest
corner thereof; thence South at right angles to last described line
for a distance of 101.65 feet; thence East at right angles to last
described line for a distance of 138.01 feet; thence North at right angles
to last described line for a distance of 101.65 feet to the North line
of said lot; thence West along said North line for a distance of 138.01
feet to the point of beginning; in Cook County, Illinois.
