WHERF,AS, a dire need exists in Du Page County for a plan
familiar to all police agencies in regard to emergency assistance
to and from all law enforcement agencies, and
1dHEREAS, in this day of civil disturbances, disregard of
the law, immorality and vandalism, the police service must be
concerned for all law enforcement agencies large and small as
help can no longer be counted on from volunteers and ordinary
citizens, and
H'HEREAS, the Du rage County Chiefs of Police Association
has developed a "DJ PAGs CWN'"Y EMERGENCY CALL UP PLAN" for
mutual assistance to and from all law enforcement agencies in
Du Page County, now
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Cook and Du Page
County, Illinois that the Police Department is hereby authorized
and directed to participate in the "DU PAGE COUNTY EMERGENCY
CALL JP PLA'! " and that the ELi GROVE VILLAGE POLICE DEPARTIENT
agrees to abide by the rules and regulations set forth for the
operation of this plan as it is now in effect or as it is
amended from time to time.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT THE Clerk of the said Village
of Elk Grove Village is hereby directed to send a certified
copy of this resolution to the Secretary of the Du Page County
Chiefs of Police Association that the Elk Grove Village Police
Department will participate in this plan and that this resolution
shall be in full force and effect until recinded by the President
and Hoard of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village and
notification given to the Secretary of the Du Page County Chiefs
of Police Association.
