A RESOLUTION DECLARING VILLAGE BOARD POLICY AS
TO PARK LANDS.
1•11I'2AS, the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Elk Grove Village is fully advised as to
orrranizational efforts to establish the Elk Grove Park District
which would operate, if organized, parks and recreational
facilities in the Village and in the immediate environs
thereof; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Elk Grove Village is presently
the title holder of all parks located within the Village as
well as the recreational facility at Grant Wood Elementary
School; and
IT?EREAS, it is advisab__e that the President and Board of
Trustees of said village advise tl,e prospective voters of its
intention as to the disposition of said properties in the
event the said Elk Grove Park District is in fact organized
so that they may be assured that facilities will not be
duplicated in the event said Park District is in fact estab-
lished:
NOW, `'THEREFORE, IT IS RESOLVED by the President and Board
of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of
Cook and Du Page, Illinois:
Section 1. That the President and Board of Trustees of
tl:e Villago of Elk Grove Vi:_lage, Counties of Cook and Du Page,
I.linois, do hereby resolve that thoy shall cause to be
conveyed title to all parks in the village as well as the
Grant '�'Iood Elementary School facility to the Elk Grove Park
District upon its organizat'Lon. That the actual transfer of
title will await delivery to the Village of a Resolution of
said Elk Grove Park District; to the effect that they are in a
financial position to operate and maintain said parks and
recreational facilities.
Section 2. That the V;_llage of Elk Grove Village agrees
to help finance a„pdrk''and recreational program for the fiscal
year of 1966 - 1967 and to place exclusive direction of said
program under the authority of the Park District Commissioners
elected in the event that said Parl{ District is organized.
Section 3. The Village, of Elk Grove Village resolves
that they will do all thing:; necessary to co-operate in all
respects to accomplish an Orderly transition to the transference
of parks and recreational facilities to the Elk Grove Park
District should same be organized as a result of the referendum
of May 21, 1966.
Section 4. This resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval according to
law.
