HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTION - 37-66 - 5/3/1966 - MULTI FAMILY ZONING/POLICY DECLARATIONRESOLUTION NO. 37-66 A RESOLUTION OF POLICY WITH REGARD TO MULTI- FAMILY ZONING. WHEREAS, the Village of Elk Griove Village is especially conscious of problems of public health, safety and welfare which are related to permitting increased density to be placed upon land within the Village and without the Village in the unincorporated areas; and WHEREAS, it is deemed desirable to advise the developers, both within and without the Villager, both present and future developers of property within the Village of its concern in this regard: NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois: Section 1. That the President, and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village wish to go on record that the Village regards the problem of increasing densities on land to have special affect on public health, safety and. welfare and because of this it advises all agencies of the government and developers, past and present, that relating to multi -family zoning, they should plan and zone new lands in such a way as not to alter the essential single family residential character of the Village and to do all things necessary to advance the policy expressed herein. Section 2. That this resolution shall be made a part of the comprehensive plan and shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval according to law.
