WHEREAS let it be known that the Village of Elk Grove Village wishes
to express its appreciation for the honor bestowed on one of its citizens,
Miss Mary Lee Inzerello, 371 Laurel Street, Elk Grove Village, Illinois.
WHEREAS Mary Lee Inzerello has competed with other young ladies from
the State of Illinois, and on July 23, 1966 has been awarded the title of
Miss Illinois of 1966-1967.
WHEREAS the bestowing of this title of Miss Illinois of 1966-1967
is indicative not only of Mary Lee Inzerello's beauty and physical charm,
but her poise, personality and talent.
WHEREAS we offer our heartiest congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Anthony
Inzerello and their family for the honor bestowed on their daughter and
sister, and the prestige it has brought to the Village for its first and,
we hope, not the last Miss Illinois.
WHEREAS to Mary Lee go all of our prayers and wishes for success 1n
the Niss America Pageant, AND
When you are in Atlantic City this fall competing for the Miss America
title, we wish you to know that you are carrying the well wishes of all
the people in Elk Grove Village who are so proud of you.
WHEREAS, finally since you are now known as Miss Illinois of 1966-
1967 you will always be known as Miss Elk Grove Village for the great honor
you have brought to the Village.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and 'Du Page, State
of Illinois:
Section 1 . That on behalf of the Village of Elk Grove Village, we wish
to bestow on you the title of Honored Citizen during your reign as Miss Illinois.
Section 2. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and approval according to law.
PASSED this 9th day of August, 1966.
