A RESOLUTION REQUESTING PERMIT FROM THE STATE OF ILLINOIS FOR CONSTRUCTION
ON STATE HIGHFIAY PROPERTY.
WHEREAS, the Village of Elk Grove Village, located in the Counties of Cook
and DuPage, State of Illinois, wishes to locate, construct, operate and maintain
watermains, sewer lines, driveways, alleys, street returns, sidewalks and street
lights constructed either by the Village of Ell: Grove Village or under supervision
of said Village in the year of 1965 on the State Highways in the Village of Elk
Grove Village, Illinois, which by law comes under the jurisdiction and control of
the Department of Public Works and Buildings of the State of Illinois and
1111EREAS, a permit from said Department is required before said work can be
legally undertaken by said Village or supervised by the Village
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties
of Cook and DuPage, State of Illinois
FIRST: That we do hereby request from the Department of Public Works and
Buildings, State of Illinois, a permit authorizing the Village o:i Elk Grove Village
to proceed with the work herein described.
SECOND: That we hereby pledge the good faith of the Village of Elk Grove
Village and guarantee that all work shall be performed in accordance with the
conditions of the permit to be granted by the Department of Public Works and
Buildings of the State of Illinois, and to hold the State of Illinois, Department
of Public 11orks and Buildings, harmless on account of any damages that may occur
to persons or property during the prosecution of such work, and assume all lia-
bility for damages to persons or property due to accidents or otherwise by reason
of the work which is to be performed under the provision of said permit.
THIRD: That we hereby state that the proposed work is not to be per-
formed by the employees of the Village of Elk Grove Village.
FOURTH: That the proper officers of the Village of Elk Grove Village are
hereby instructed and authorized to sign said permit in behalf of the Village
of Elk. Grove Village.
This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage
and approval according to law.
