HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTION - 21-65 - 4/1/1965 - URGE PASSAGE OF HB 105Resolution No. 21-65 WHEREAS the Senate of the State of Illinois is considering the passage of a Bill, the purpose of which is to cause the immediate disconnection of territory from a fire protection district upon annexation to a City or Village, and WHEREAS taxpayers of Elk Grove Village and other nearby comnunitieo have suffered double taxation as a result of the lack of such a bili. and WHEREAS it is to the best interest of all that every resident of a community pay but one tax for the services rendered to him, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRL$I MT AND BOARD OF TF.USTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE, COUNTIES OF COOK AND DUPAGE: 1) That the President and Board of Trustees of Elk Grove Villase urge the Senate of the State of Illinois to pass House Dill No. H-105 providing for the automatic disconnection of territory from a fire protection district upon annexation to a City or Village and urge the Governor to sign said Bill upon its passage. 2) That a certified copy of this Resolution be sent to the Senate of the State of Illinois and Honorable Otto Kerner, its Governor. 3) That this Resolution be in full force and effect upon its pass- age and approval according to law.
