WHEREAS, the Elk Grove Village Fir* Department has a good softball team, and
WHEREAS, the Village Police Department hha a better softball team than the
Village Fire Department as evidenced by the result of a game played
at the Village picnic, Sunday, July 18, 1965, and
WHEREAS$ the Elk Grove Village Board has the best softball team in the entire
Village government as evidenced by their smashing, outstanding,
brilliant, hard-hitting victory over the Elk Grove Village Police
Department at the above-mentioned annual picnic;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ROSOLVED that the Elk Grove Village Board Softball
team is declared the greatest softball team in the History of
Elk Grove Village.
AND, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of this Resolution shall be forwarded
to the respective Chiefs of the Fire and Police Departments.
AND, BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that if there is any doubt as to the Elk Grove
Village Board being the best softball team in the Village government,
it shall be proud to again demonstrate its greatness on proper
challenge from the municipal softball teams.
