PASSED this � day of November, 1965 APPROVED this 2 _yiti,&y of November, l9e?5 President Attest: Village Clark r CERTIFICATE OF AUTHORITY ISSUED PURSUANT TO SECTION 22.1118 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE. WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, sitting as a vehicle commission, did conduct public hearings for the purpose of ascertaining the public need for taxi cab service within the Village of Elk Grove Village, in accordance with its ordinances and the laws of the State of Illinois, and WHEREAS, Carl I. Bewersdorf, d/b/a Suburban Yellow Cab, is presently engaged in the taxi cab business and is desirous of servicing the Village of Elk Grove Village and its residents with taxi cab service, and has presented convincing evidence to the authorities of the Village of Elk Grove Village of its ability to provide suitable and adequate taxi cab service for the residents of the Village, NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS C MTIFIED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois, acting in the capacity of a vehicle commission: 1. That there is an immediate public need for taxi cab service in the Village of Elk Grove Village and that the issuance of licenses for two taxi cabs to Carl I. Bewersdorf, doing business as Suburban Yellow Cab, would satisfy said immediate need for benefit to the public. 2. That Carl I. Bewersdorf, doing business as Suburban Yellow Cab, does have capacity to serve the Village of Elk Grove Village and its residents, and that it should receive such additional licenses as it may request and require of the Village in addition to the foregoing two licenses, heretofore provided for issuance. 3. That in the event that sufficient taxi service is not provided by said Carl I. 3ewersdorf, doing business as SuburbaN Yellow Cab, the President and Board of Trustees will conduct a public hearing and, if at that time in its sole discretion Carl I. Bewersdorf, doing business as Suburban Yellow Cab has not kept up with the need for taxi service, the President and Board of Trustees shall have the right to terminate this franchise plus the right of said Carl I. Bewersdorf, doing business as Suburban Yellow Cab to have future requests for taxi cab service and licenses, if the additional. service deemed necessary by the President and Board of Trustees is not provided within thirty days after written request. 4. Nothing in this certificiate of authority shad prevent or be so construed to prevent the Village of Elk Grove Village from issuing such additional. licenses, as it may deem necessary in accordance with its ordinances and the laws of the State of Illinois, to any person or corporation whatsoever. 5. That the Village President in accordance with this certificate shall be and is hereby authorized to issue a license to Carl I. Bewersdorf, doing business as Suburban Yellow Cab, for two taxi cabs and such additional licenses for additional taxi cabs as it may require, esident Attest : Village lk .
