RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE, COOK and DUPAGE
COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, HIRING SPECIFIC ATTORNEYS
FOR SPECIFIC PURPOSES AS SET FORTH HEREIN
WHEREAS, there is now pending in the Federal District Court at
Milwaukee, Wisconsin, a certain complaint brought by Several munic-
ipalities to establish an illegal price fixing practice by rock salt
suppliers; and
WHEREAS, it would be to the best, interests of the Village of Elk
Grove Village to join in said suit and to retain Marvin J. Glink and
Edward Hofert to take all necessary legal action in connection there-
with; and
WHEREAS, it is the understanding of said Board of Trustees that there
is no liability on the part of the Village for any attorneys' fees,
and that same will be paid out of any recovery obtained except current
court costs which are anticipated in the sum of $100.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and the Board of Trustees
of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Cook and DuPage Counties, Illinois:
Section 1: That the President and Village Clerk be and they are
hereby authorized and directed to take whatever action shall be necessary
to make the Village of Elk Grove Village a party plantiff by intervention
or otherwise in the suit now pending in the Federal Court at Milwaukee,
Wisconsin, wherein several municipalities have taken action against
salt suppliers, and they are hereby authorized to expend a sum not to
exceed $100.00 for current court costs therein.

Section 2: That Marvin J. Glink, 111 West Washington Street,
Chicago, Illinois and Village Attorney, Edward Hofert, be and they
are hereby retained as legal counsel therein on behalf of the Village
of Elk Grove Village, and that their compensation be one fourth of
the amount recovered.
Section 3: This resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval according to law.
