RE: Hif-,gins Road Commercial
Gaylord St. (Formerly
Howard Street)
Gentlemen:
An L.spection has been i.,-a-de an-. we find 'U' at tle PaVenent,
curb sn] i;Ltter and 2torm draina,e 1--as been conplated on Gaylord
-tr-aat in Higgins Road Corru-aerc.al. It is rrrT recommendation that
the work be accepted ,,ubject to a t'..'o year maintenance bond in the
amnunt of 317',000.00 and subject to t' e followfng list of corrections.
T',e size o' t1le bond has been increased to cover the public sidewalk
i,hich has not been installed.
1. Grade parkways and backfill around the curb and Cutter, and
slEorm drainage structures.
2. Remove and reDlace curb and utter at the drain21-e structures
on the '3ennet and King Q'Itreet radius . Raise,,Catch basins to
I
grade and correct alignment for uniform radii.
3. The bide slopes of both dlrnainalge ditches paralleling Gaylord St.
are steeper than shown on t' e Er...'neori=, Drawl.nC-s. The banks
should be reUraded as soon as feasible because considerable dirt
has fallen into t,e javed inverts obstructuin- the drainage flow,
Very truly yours,
