Home My WebLink AboutRESOLUTION - 5-64 - 2/13/1964 - REQUESTING HIGHWAY PERMIT FROM STATE RESOLUTIO14 NO. 5-64 A RESOLUTION REQUESTING PERMIT FROM THE STATE OF ILLINOIS FOR CONSTRUCTION ON STATE HIGHWAY PROPERTY WHEREAS, the Village of Elk Grove Village, located in the County of Cook, State of Illinois, wishes to locate, construct, operate and maintain watermains, sewer lines, driveways, alleys, street returns, sidewalks and street lights constructed either by the Village of Elk Grove Village or under supervision of said Village in the year of 1964 on the State Highways in the Village of Elk Grove Village, Illinois, which by law comes under the jurisdiction and control of the Department of Public Works and Buildings of the State of Illinois. and WHEREAS, a permit from said Department is required before said work can be legally undertaken by said Village or supervised by the Village NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Village of Elk Grove Village, County of Cook, State of Illinois FIRST: That we do hereby request from the Department of Public Works and Buildings, State of Illinois, a permit authorizing the Village of Elk Grove Village to proceed with the work herein described. SECOND: That we hereby pledge the good faith of the Village of Elk Grove Village and guarantee that all work shall be performed in accordance with the conditions of the permit to be granted by the Department of Public Works and Buildings of the State of Illinois, and to hold the State of Illinois, Depart- ment of Public Works and Buildings, harmless on account of any damages that may occur to persons or property during the prosecution of such work, and assume all liability for damages to persons or property due to accidents or otherwise by reason of the work which is to be performed under the provision of said permit. THIRD: That we hereby state that the proposed work is not, to be performed by the employees of the Village of Elk Grove Village. FOURTH: That the proper officers of the Village of Elk Grove Village are hereby instructed and authorized to sign said permit in behalf of the Village of Elk Grove Village. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval according to law. PASSED this 13th day of February, 1964 APPROVED this 13th day of February, 1964 James R.
