WHEREAS, it is both fitting and desired that Independence
Day, July 4, be duly and safely observed by Elk Grove Village; and
WHEREAS, the Elk Grove Village Lion's Club did provide
entertainment and a supervised fireworks program for the Village
residents; and
WHEREAS, the Village Fire and Police Departments did
participate in such program; and
WHEREAS, the Monarch Disposal Company and the Centex
Construction Compnny did also participate in said program to make
said observation of Independence Day in Elk Grove Village a safe
and notable occasion.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board
of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook
and DuPage, Illinois:
Section 1. That the President and Board of Trustees of
the Village of Elk Grove Village do hereby commend the Elk Grove
Village Lion's Club for their entertainment and fireworks program
on July 4, 1964, and permitting the citizens of said Village to
observe a fitting and safe Independence day.
Section 2. That it is further resolved by the.President
and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village that
the Monarch Disposal Company and the Centex Construction Company
be commended for their participation in the above noted event.
Section 3. That the President and Board of Trustees of
the Village of Elk Grove Village hereby wish to commend the Elk
Grove Village Fire Department and Police Department for their
parts in making the observation of Independence Day, July 42 1964
a safe and entertaining occasion for all village residents.
PASSED and APPROVED this 23rd day of July, 1964.
