"ranch is to be cut from existin,, or proposed trans-

Backfilling shall be completed immediately after installation of
cable.
The contractor shall bu responsible for .contacting the
public Service Company of T.?orthern Illinois and the :.ell Telephone
Company for the location of their underground facilities, and
other utility companies.
`.t'he contractor is responsible for the scheduling of the
work, witi, the Pi:blic arvice Company of Aorthern I111nois, in
such a manner as to avoid ade9_1_tional expense on the behalf of the
Village, in the replacer~ent of completed parkways or lawns. Lx -
pence growing out of such conditions are to be deducted from com-
pensation paid the contractor, where said damacra can be traced to
negligent scheduling by the contractor. ;
Contractor is to supply a Certificate .)-C .I'nsur•ance in-
demnifying the Village against mishap. p
Contractor is to be paid in accordance with proposal 4
submitted by contractor to the Village dated February 12, 1963 ;
all payments are to be made on a per -foot basis, -except:

called contractor, and the Village of F?1k Grove Village, a muni-
cipal corporation, Counties of Cook and DuP&7e, Illinois, here-
inafter called Village,
MNBSSETH: That the contractor and the Vilia�e for
the consideration stated herein agree as follows:,

Article I. Scope of Brork. The contractor shall per-
form everything required to be performed, and shall provide and
furnish all labor, materials, tools, *machinery, expendable equip-
ment, all utiltty and transportation services required for the
trenching and backfilling for street liclatin,; in Section ten (10)
and all subsequent trenching and backfillins; required within the
Village during, the year eommencinFr, as of date hereof and 'lay 10
1964. 911 trenching and backfilling to be in strict accordance
with the contract drawingg as prepared by the Public Service Com-
pang of Northern Illinois.
!here three (3) inch steel conduit is shown on the con-
tract drawin'rs, such conduit will be furnished and installed by
the contractor, at the contractor's cost.
Trenching will be done by machine, six (6) inches wide
and thirty (30) inches deep, unless shown otherwise on contract

lage Clerk in accordance with action duly taken by the President
and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village award-
ing said contract to N. L. Eodes Trenching Service of 201 E. North
Avenue, Northlake. Illinois , on April 4, 1963 , 1 3,
and W, L. Hodes Trenching Service has caused t s contract to be
signed by its duly authorized officers, all as of the day
of , 1QZ63.

to circumstances beyond
contractorts
control, in which event contractor
shall be paid on
a time basis
and shall notify the Street
Department Foreman within
two (2) hours
of commencement of delay,
compensation in such event
shall not exceed
the rate of .nifty (s%50)
Dollars per day unless
the Street Department
Foreman holds risen
and equipment on the job
in excess of
two (2) hours, in which event the rates specified in
the proposal
for time shall be the rate
of compensation.
