HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTION - 23-63 - 7/11/1963 - PREVAILING WAGESRE60LUTIONN NO. 23-63 RESOLUTIUN RELATING TO THE GENERAL PREVAILING RATE OF HOURLY WAGES IN 1'HE VILIAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE LOCALITY FOR CONSTRUCTION WORK WHEREAS, all public bodies within the State of Illinois are obligated to ascertain the general prevailing rate of hourly wages for construction in their locality in accordance with Chapter 48, Section 39s-1 to 39s-12 inclusive, and WHER_kS, said public bodies are obligated to pass a Resolution setting forth said general prevailing rate of hourly wages for construction work in their locality once during each six month period and to publish said Resolution in a newspaper in the area within thirty days after the passage of said Resolution, NOW$ THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE, COOK AND DU PAGE COUNTIES, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That the Village Clerk of the Village of Elk Grove Village is here'c authorized and directed to file a certified copy of this Resolution with tha Department of Labor, 160 N. La Salle Street, Chicago, Illinois. Section 3. That the Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to publish a copy of this Resolution in a newspaper of general circulation in the Village o£ Elk Grove Village area. In case a Customer files written objection to sn y bill within ten (10) days of the date thereof the Village will accept pay- ment (witho^ penalty) within ten (10) days after the Customer has been notified f the results of the Village's investigation. 15. Bill for metered service shall be rendered monttily unless otherwise specifi in the rate schedule then in effect a shall show the readings of th meter at the beginning and end of th period for which the bill is re dered. The basis for computing s h bill shall be the same as indica ed by the meter dials. 16. In case themeter cannot be read for arty cause, the Village will require a payment o account equal to the a r"age bill for the prior six months consumpt on. , 17. In cases where any cause the meter cannot be read for a period of three (3) months the Village w 1 turn off the water upon due notice unless the Consume provides a cess to the meter immediately. 18. Where a meter has caxed properly, the quantity of water or w will be determined by the aversg prior six months (6) consumption. , SECTION V. RULES GOVERNING SERVI 19. The Villagelu=dertakes to us reasonable care m d diligence to provide a constant supply of water at reasonable pressure but reserves the right at any time, without n tics, to shut off the water in its mains for the purpose of making rep irs or extensions or for other purposes. 21. The Village shall not be liable or a deficiency or failure, regardless of causes, in the supply of water or in the pressure nor for say damage caused thereby or by the bursting r breaking of any main or service pipe br any attachments to the Villag 's property. All applicants having boilefis upon their premises depending uon the pressure in the Village's pipes to keep them supplied are taut oned against danger of collapse and all damage occasioned by any such ollapse must be borne exclusive y by the customer. 22. The Village will not permit the use O\f water from separate fire protection lines except for the extinguishin of fires or for fire drills. 6 -
