A RESOLUTION DIRECTED TO THE COUNTY CLERK OF COOK COUNTY FOR TRAiibMITTAL TO
THE COOK COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OBJECTING TO THE REZONING OF CERTAIA
PROPERTY DESIGNATED BY THE ZONING BOARD OF A! -PEALS OF COOK COUNTY AS DOCKET
668• SAID PROPERTY BEING IN ELK GROVE TOViNSHIP
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Elk Grove Village, Cook County, Illinois.
Section 1. That the Village of Elk Grove Village does hereby object to
rezoning of the following described property from the present classification
of R h Single Family Residence District to B L General Service District for
professional offices. Said property being approximately 1 1/6 acres located
on the north side of Landmeier Road, approximately 320 fe.t west of Busse
Road, in Elk Grove Township, legally described as follows:
The West 19Li.95 feet of the East 515.0 feet of the South 330.0
feet of the Northeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of
Section 27, Township Ll North, Range 11, East of the Third
Principal Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois, commonly known as
1600 Landmeier Road, Elk Grove Village, Illinois.
for the reasons: -
1. That B 4 General Service District Zoning would permit, in addition to
the proposed use for professional offices, used car lots, auto agencies and
junk yards, which are just a few of the objectionable uses that the property
might be put to should the property be rezoned to B L General Service District.
2. That the property could be used for professional offices should the pro-
perty be rezoned to B 3 General Business District, which the applicant states
is the purpose of seeking rezoning.
3. That the applicant should have no objection to B 3 General Business Dis-
trict zoning of the property inasmuch as this will allow him to use the
property as proposed at the public hearing.
L. That in the vicinity of the property, approximately 500 yards east of
Landmeier Road and the subject property, there is a large single family
residential area, which homes range in price from $22,000 to 1o25,000.
5. That the Village of Elk Grove Village has been annexing territory in an
easterly direction and that it will likely annex the subject property which
is in an easterly direction from the Village of Elk Grove Village, approxi-
mately 4 of a mile, in the near future and a B L General Service District
would not conform to the existing permitted use in the said easterly part of
the Village of Elk Grove Village. The Village of Elk Grove Village is
enacting a comprehensive zoning ordinance which will, when adopted, prohibit
many of the permitted uses under a B L General Service District, conse-
quently the subject property should not be rezoned to permit a use incompatible
with existing and proposed zoning regulations of the village.
6. That in the opinion of the President and Board of ''trustees said rezoning,
if granted, would be against public; health, safety, morals and general welfare,
while rezoning the property to B 3 General Business llistrict would not and
would still permit the proposed use of the property.
Section 2. That the Village Attorney is hereby authorized and directed to
transmit this resolution to the County Clerk of Cook County, and the Cook County
Zoning Board of Appeals.
Section 3. That this resolution shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and approval according to law.
