HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTION - 4-62 - 4/9/1962 - CONGRAT LIONS CLUB/ST PATRICKS DAY FLOATRESOLUTION NO. 4-62 WHEREAS, the Lions Club of Elk Grove Village did, on March 17, 1962, at their expense, construct a float which was entered in the St. Patrick's Day Parade held on said date in the City of Chicago, and WHEREAS, said float did put forth the name Elk Grove Village prominently and was so decorated and prepared as to bring credit to said Village, its officials and its citizens, and WHEREAS, it is both fit and proper that the Lions Club of Elk Grove Village should be duly congratulated for their efforts in this regard, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois: Section 1. That the local Lions Club of Elk Grove Village be and is hereby congratulated for the moneys and efforts expended by them and their member- ship in the preparation of a float which was used in the St. Patrick's Day Parade in Chicago on March 17, 1962, which float did bring due credit to the Village, its officials and its citizens. erection 2.
