A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING REIMBURSEMENT OF EXPENSES
OF FIRE CHIEF AND VOLUNTEER FIREMEN AND PROVIDING FOR
A PER CALL FEE
WHEREAS, the Village of Elk Grove Village is in need of
the services of its volunteer firemen and Fire Chief for the purpose
of putting out, controlling and preventing fires in the Village, and
WHEREAS, for the members of the Volunteer Fire Dopartmont
and the Fire Chief to perform the above noted services for the benefit
of the Village it is necessary for them to make expenditures fron
their own personal funds, and
WHEREAS, the members of the Volunteer Fire Department have
requested a per call fee per member and have agreed that the total
of said fees should not exceed Seventy -Five Hundred ($7,500.00)
Dollars for a period commencing July 22, 1962 and ending April 30,
1963, and
WHEREAS, thy, President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Elk Grove Village believe it to be the best interest of the Vili.agc-.
that these payments be made.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board
of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook
and DuPago, Illinois:
Section 1. That the Volunteer Firemen of the Village of
Elk Grove Vil.lage be reimbursed $42.00 for each fiscal period for
personal expenses. That the Fire Chief be reimbursed $25.00 par
day for loss of daily wages which he suffers as a result of his
duties as Fire Chief but not exceeding $75.00 in any one month.
The Village in addition to the above shall pay $2.50 per
call per member when they discharge the duties of a fireman. In
no event shall this per call compensation to the Fire Chief and
Volunteer Firemen exceed the sum of 4;7,500.00 during the period
commencing July 22, 1962 and ending April 30, 1963. In the event
that said $7,500.00 is not spent for said purpose any amount un-
spent shall be paid to the Volunteer Fire Department, the Volunteers
and the Fire Chief in accordance with a plan approved by the
President and Board of Trustees.
Section 2. That the Fire Chief and the volunteer firemen
will do everything within their powers, individually and collectively,
to put out, control and prevent fires in the Village of Elk Grove
Village at all times that they are called and in full accordance
with their ability to perform tho services of volunteer firemen and
Fire Chief respectively.
Section 3. That this resolution shall be in full force ane,
effect from and after its passage and approval according to law.
