RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXTENSION
TO ELIGIBLE EMPLOYEES OF FEDERAL OID
AGE AND SURVIVOR INSURANCE BENEFITS
WHEREASj the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Elk Grove Village., Cook County, Illinois,believe it to be to the best in—
terest of the Village of Elk Grove Village that eligible employees receive
the benefits of Federal Old Age and Survivor Insurance;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY the Village of Elk Grove
Vi-Ilage, Cook County� Illinois:
SECTION 1 It is hereby declared to be the police and purpose
of the Vi1M_ge_o?_Elk Grove Village to extend to the eligible employees
thereof, effective as of January 1� 1961� the benefits of the Federal
Old Age and Survivor Insurance system as authorized by the Federal Social
Security Act and amendments thereto in pursuance of said policy, and for
that purpose the President of the Village of Elk Grove Village shall take
such actions as may be required by applicable State and Federal laws or
regulations.
SECTION 2 The President of the Village of Elk Grove Villagej,
r Inois, is hereby authorized and directed to execute an

agreement with the State Employees Retirement System of the State of
Illinois to secure coverage of eligible employees as Provided in Section I
herecf*
SECTION 3 Withholding from salaries or wages of employees for
the purposes provi3ed in Section 1 hereof, are hereby authorized to be
made in the amounts and at such timeas may be required by applicable
State and Federal laws or regulationsy and shall be paid over to the State
Agency in such amounts and at such tines as are designated by State laws
or regulations.
SECTION 4 Employer contributions and administrative expenses
shall be paid Eoe State Agency in acco.-dance with applicable State
laws and regulations from amounts appropriated for such purposes*
SECTION 5 The Treasurer shall maintain such records and sub—
mit such ie—ports as may be required by applicable State and Federal laws
or regulations.
SECTION 6 This resolution shall take effect and be in full
