HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTION - 26-61 - 12/11/1961 - PREVAILING WAGES, ESTABLISHINGRESOLUTION N0. 26-61 RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING PREVAIL3NG WAGES (CERTIFICATE OF COMPLIANCE) WHEREAS, Illinois Revised Statutes, Chapter 48, 39s-1, 39s-12, Prevailing Wage Law, as amended August 8, 1961s, requires that the public body awarding any contract for public work or doing the work by day labor shall ascertain the general prevailing hourly rate of wages for employees engaged on such work, and WHEREAS, the Statutes further provide that said rates of pay be publicly posted and/or kept available for inspection by any interested party and a certified copy thereof promptly filed in the office of the Secretary of State. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council, or President and Board of Trustees of VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE, COOK County, State of Illinois, that the e er ion 7oil=e prevailing wages as set forth below are the prevailing hourly rates of wages being paid to all laborers, workmen, and mechanics engaged in the construction of streets or public buildings coming under the jurisdiction of this City Council or President and Board of Trustees Labor $3.00 Asphalt Tampers & Smoothers $3.10 Form Setters 3.25 Asphalt Laborers & Helpers 3.025 Qement Finishers 4.24 Asphalt Rakers & Lute Men 3.30 Truck Drivers 3.30 Operating Engineers 3.85 Oilers & Helpers 3.25 T$echanics 3.45 Mechanics Helpers 3.25 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that nothing herein contained shall be construed to apply to the prevailing hourly rate of wages in the locality for employment other than public works construction as defined in the Act, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the VILLAGE CLERK be and he is hereby authorized to file a certifie copy py oi-this Resolution with the Secretary of State.
