WHEREAS, the Village of Elk Grove Village, located in the
Gounty of Cook, State of Illinois, wishes to have constructed a 15"
sanitary sewer crossing under State Route 83 at Touby Avenue and a 1411
cast iron water main in the east right of way of Route 83 from Estes
Avenue to Touhy Avenue, WHICH by law comes under the jurisdiction and
control of the Department of Public Works and Buildings of the State of
Illinois; and
WHEREAS, a permit from said Department is required before said
work can be legally undertaken by said Village;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Village of Elk Grove
Village, County of Cook, State of Illinois:
First - That we do hereby request from the Department of Public
Works and Buildings, State of Illinois, a permit authorizing the Contrac-
tor to proceed with the work herein described;
Second - That we hereby pledge the good faith of the Village of
Elk Grove Village and guarantee that all work shall be performed in
accordance with the conditions of the permit to be granted by the Depart-
ment of Public Works and Buildings of the State of Illinois, and to hold
the State of Illinois, Department of Public Works and Buildings, harmless
on account of any damages that may occur to persons or property during
the prosecution of such work, and assume all liability for damages to per-
sons or property due to accidents or otherwise by reason of the work which
is to be performed under the provision of said permit.
Third - That we hereby state that the proposed work is not to
be performed by the employees of the Village;
Fourth - That the proper officers of the Village are hereby in-
structed and authorized to sign said permit in behalf of the Village of
Elk Grove Village.
