RESOLUTION PROVIDING FtR THE MPROVE-
2'1ENT OF RIDGE AVENUE BETWEEN DEVON
AVENUE ON THE SOUTH AND THE VILLAGE
LI21ITS ON THE NORTH
WHEREAS, the Village of Elk Grove Village has designated Ridge
Avenue as an arterial street within the limits of the Village of Elk Grave
Village; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Elk Grove Village believes it to be to
the best interests of said Village to surface the portion of Ridge Avenue
between Devon Avenue on the South and the Village limits on the north,
which Village limits are also the south line of Section 8; and
WHEREAS, said portion of Ridge Avenue is under the jurisdiction
of the Elk Grove Township Highway Commissioner, who has consented to its
improvement by all parties concerned; and
WHEREAS, the Centex Construction Company, Inc. has agreed to
excavate said portion of Ridge Avenue and install an adequate concrete cul-
vert at Devon Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the Elk Grove Township Highway Commissioner has agreed
to install a nine inch base on said road after the excavation afore-
mentioned;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and the Board of
Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, as follows:
Section 1 That the Village of Elk Grove Village agrees to com-
plete the improvement of the portion of Ridge Avenue aforementioned with
surfacing, curbs and gutters in accordance with road specifications and
standards prescribed for the Village of Elk Grove Village, said improvements
to be paid for from motor fuel tax funds made available to the Village of
Elk Grove Village, said work to be done by the Village of Elk Grove Village
at such time as said funds become available for said purpose.
Section 2 That this resolution shall be in full force and effect
forthwith upo�s adoption and approval according to law.
ADOPTED this 10th day of October, 1960.
