AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE RECAPTURE OF COSTS FOR THE
CONSTRUCTION OF A 12" WATERMAIN ON DEVON AVENUE IN THE
VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE
WHEREAS, the Village of Elk Grove Village has constructed a
12" watermain on the north side of Devon Avenue between I-290 and
a point 360 feet west of Bay Drive at a cost of $67,960.77, and
WHEREAS, said improvement will serve to benefit the general
community and certain properties, hereinafter designated, which
may annex to the Village in the future; and
WHEREAS, the Village has allocated a certain portion of the
cost of said improvement to the parties benefitted by same based
on a formula based on a percentage of total area which will
benefit from this improvement; with the Village assuming a certain
portion of said costs.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village,,Counties of Cook
and DuPage, Illinois, that;
Section I: The construction costs of a 12" watermain along
Devon Avenue -($62,405.00) and engineering costs $5,555.77) shall be
allocated as follows:
1. The Village shall pay $10,897.90 for its share of
the construction and engineering.
2. The remaining costs ($57,062.87) shall be collected
at the rate of $290.54 per acre for all unincorpor-
ated properties presently existing in the benefitted
area. This area includes the:
1. Szywala Property (51+ acres)
2. Zizzo Property (26.5+ acres)
3. Zirko Porperty (51+ acres)
4. Itasca Meadows (68+ acres)
Section 2:.The Village has paid the full cost of construction and
engineering. The costs to the remaining parties shall be recaptured
by the Village when said properties are annexed to the Village.

from and after its passage and approval according to law.
