AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THAT PORTION OF SECTION 3-3-6 CLASSIFICATION OF LICENSES WHICH PERTAIN TO THE CLASS G SEASONAL MUNICIPAL LICENSE BY ELIMINATING THE NEED FOR A CLASS G LICENSE WHEN
THE MUNICIPAL ENTITY HAS A CLASS A LIQUOR LICENSE IN A FACILITY ON THE SAME PROPERTY
WHEREAS, the Elk Grove Park District is a holder of a Class A Liquor License and a Class G Seasonal Liquor License with the Village of Elk Grove Village; and
WHEREAS, the Class G License pertains to the mobile carts and motorized vehicles traveling on or about the golf course property owned by the Elk Grove Park District and the Village
waives the license fee therefore; and
WHEREAS, the Park District has advised the Village that the State of Illinois charges a separate two-thousand dollar ($2,000.00) fee for each of the Class A and the Class G Seasonal
License; and
WHEREAS, it is reasonable to determine that the motorized vehicles are ancillary to the Class A Liquor License for the clubhouse and the Village has sufficient authority to regulate
the sale of alcoholic liquor in the clubhouse and on the motorized cart pursuant to one (1) Class A Liquor License thus eliminating the need for the Park District to pay an additional
two-thousand dollar ($2,000.00) license fee to the State of Illinois.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois as follows.
Section 1: That the Section entitled Class G License (Seasonal Municipal) of Section 3-3-6 Classification of Licenses be and the same is hereby amended by adding thereto a new paragraph
which shall read as follows:
The Class G License shall not be required for any municipal
entity which has a Class A Liquor License in a facility on the
same property for which a mobile cart or motorized vehicle is
utilized.
Section 2: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval according to law.
