AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 4-3-1 SCHEDULE OF PARKING SPACES OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE THEREBY CHANGING THE PARKING SPACE REQUIREMENT FOR CERTAIN
DESIGNATED USES
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Elk Grove Village, at a Public Hearing duly called and held according to law, considered the question of amending Section 4-3-1B and Section
4-3-1C pertaining to minimum parking requirements for various business and office uses in the Village; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, after having reviewed the finding and recommendation of said Plan Commission, find and believe that it
is in the best interest of the Village to amend the Zoning Ordinance accordingly.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That Paragraph B Business Uses (minimum requirements) of Section 4-3-1 Schedule of Parking Spaces be amended as follows:
Amend the minimum parking requirement for customer service office/use from one (1) parking space for each 180 square feet of gross floor area to one (1) parking space for each 200 square
feet of floor area.
Reduce the amount of minimum parking for “other retail stores” from one (1) parking space for each 180 square feet of gross floor area to one (1) parking space for each 200 square feet
of gross floor area.
Reduce the amount of minimum required parking spaces for “hair care (barber shop, beauty parlor)” from one (1) parking space for each 100 square feet of gross floor area to one (1) parking
space for each 150 square feet of gross floor area.
Section 2: That Paragraph C Office Uses (minimum requirements) of Section
4-3-1 Schedule of Parking Spaces be amended by reducing the amount of minimum required parking spaces for medical and dental clinics and ambulatory surgical treatment centers from one
(1) space for each 125 gross floor area to one (1) space for each 150 feet of gross floor area.
Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval according to law.
