AN ORDINANCE REZONING APPROXIMATELY 2.7 ACRES OF PROPERTY FROM B-1 BUSINESS DISTRICT TO B-5 TOWN CENTER SHOPPING DISTRICT (CLASSIC CINEMAS – 1040-1050 ARLINGTON HEIGHTS ROAD)
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission, acting as a Zoning Commission, at a Public Hearing duly called and held according to law, considered the question of rezoning approximately 2.7 acres of
property located at 1040-1050 Arlington Heights Road, Elk Grove Village from B-1 Business District to B-5 Town Center Shopping District; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, after having considered the recommendation and finding of said Plan Commission, find and believe that it
is in the best interest of the Village that said property be rezoned as requested.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That the property located at 1040-1050 Arlington Heights Road, Elk Grove Village Illinois be and the same is hereby rezoned from B-1 Business District to B-5 Town Center
Shopping District, which property is legally described as follows:
LOT 1 SERFECZ SUBDIVISION, BEING A SUBDIVISION OF PART OF THE WEST HALF OF THE NORTHEAST QUARTER OF SECTION 32,
TOWNSHIP 41 NORTH, RANGE 11, EAST OF THE THIRD PRINCIPAL
MERIDIAN, IN COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS, ACCORDING TO THE PLAT
THEREOF RECORDED AS DOCUMENT NO. 26939494 (THE “SERFECZ
SUBDIVISION”).
Section 2: That this rezoning is contingent upon the Petitioner providing all
face brick on the east and north facades of the building, thus being consistent with the remainder of the buildings in the B-5 Town Center Shopping District.
Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval according to law.
VOTE: AYES: 5 NAYS: 0 ABSENT: 1
