AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIAL USE PERMIT FOR THE
INSTALLATION OF A WIRELESS TELECOMMUNICATIONS FACILITY
WHICH WOULD EXCEED THE MAXIMUM ALLOWABLE 10' HEIGHT
LIMIT ON PROPERTY LOCATED AT 121 NORTHWEST POINT
BOULEVARD (VERIZON WIRELESS)
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Elk Grove Village, acting as
a Zoning Commission, at a public hearing duly called and held according to law,
considered the question of granting a Special Use Permit to Verizon Wireless to permit
the construction and installation of an electronic equipment shelter on the rooftop of the
Sheraton Hotel that would extend fourteen feet (14') in height on property located at 121
Northwest Point Boulevard, Elk Grove Village; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove
Village, after having reviewed the finding and recommendation of said Plan Commission,
find and believe that it is in the best interest of the Village to grant the Special Use Permit
including a four -foot (4') variation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That there is hereby granted a Special Use Permit for the installation
of a wireless telecommunications facility (electronic equipment shelter) on the rooftop of
the Sheraton Hotel located at 121 Northwest Point Boulevard, Elk Grove Village Illinois.
That the granting of the Special Use Permit includes a four (4') variation of the ten -foot
(10') height requirement of the Antenna Siting Policy.
Section 2: That the Special Use Permit herein granted will remain in full force
and effect provided that Verizon Wireless is the owner and operator of said facility.
Section 3: That the Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage and approval according to law.
