AN ORDINANCE FIXING MAY 22, 2007 AS THE DATE FOR THE INAUGURATION
AND COMMENCEMENT OF TERMS FOR THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE
MUNICIPAL OFFICERS TO BE ELECTED AT THE APRIL 17, 2007 MUNICIPAL
ELECTION
WHEREAS, Section 513.1-10-15 of the Illinois Compiled Statutes (2004), authorizes the
corporate authorities to establish the date for the inauguration of newly elected officers of the
Village; and
WHEREAS, on April 17, 2007 a municipal election was held in which the offices of three
(3) Village Trustees and two (2) Library Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village will be
duly elected and the Proclamation of the results of said election to occur on May 22, 2007; and
WHEREAS, the Village Attorney has recommended to the Mayor and Board of Trustees
that the date of inauguration for the three Village Trustees and two Library Trustees elected at the
April 17, 2007 municipal election be fixed for May 22, 2007, the second regular meeting of the
Mayor and Board of Trustees for May 2007; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That the date for inauguration and commencement of terms for the three Village
Trustees and two Library Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village to be elected at the April
17, 2007 municipal election shall be May 22, 2007.
Section 2: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage
and approval according to law.
