A RESOLUTION AMENDING ARTICLE IV, SECTION 4.3A
HOLIDAYS, 4.3B. THE VACATION BENEFIT, AND 4.31). SICK LEAVE,
OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE PERSONNEL RULES
AND REGULATIONS
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage,
State of Illinois:
Section 1: That Article IV, Sections 4.3A, 4.313, and 4.31) of the
Personnel Rules and Regulations of the Village of Elk Grove Village are hereby
amended as set forth on Exhibit"A" attached hereto and by this reference
incorporated herein.
Section 2: That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and approval according to law.

EXHIBIT A
4.3A. Holidays:
Part-time employees are eligible for holiday pay benefits based on the following criteria:
1. Work at least fifty (50) percent of the full time hours for that job;
2. Payment is based upon their budgeted regular workweek schedule of hours as a
pro-ration of a full-time employee;
3. Completion of one year of service.
4.313. The Vacation Benefit
Part-time employees are eligible for vacation benefits based on the following criteria:
1. Work at least fifty (50)percent of the full time hours for that job;
2. Accrual is based upon their budgeted regular workweek schedule of hours as a
pro-ration of a full time employee;
3. Completion of one year of service.
4.31). Sick Leave
Part-time personnel shall`become eligible for a prorated sick leave benefit upon being
hired. Accrual is based upon their budgeted regular workweek schedule of hours as a
pro-ration and applies to any percentage of hours.
Part-time employees are eligible to accrue and use sick leave benefits on a pro-rated
basis. Part-time employees are eligible for the following leaves of absence.
Emergency Leave: If it is determined by a Department Head that an employee is eligible
for Emergency Leave, up to three (3) days may be granted for that purpose. Such days
will be -prorated based upon their budgeted regular workweek .schedule of hours
(prorated) and reduces Sick Leave accruals.
Bereavement Leave: Part-time employees may be eligible for paid Emergency Leave in
the event of a death of serious illness, and/or injury in the employee's immediate family.
The initial days or absence, up- to three days, used for the Bereavement pw•tiuu of
Emergency Leave shall not reduce Sick Leave accruals.
