AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3-3-6 PARKING REGULATIONS OF
THE ELK GROVE VILLAGE CODE BY ADDING A NEW SECTION
REGULATING THE PARKING OF OVERSIZED VEHICLES IN DESIGNATED
SHOPPING CENTERS
BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk
Grove Villaae, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That Section 6-3-6-10 Penalty be and the same is hereby renumbered
to Section 6-3-6-11.
Section 2: That new Section 6-3-6-10 shall be established, which.Section shall
read as follows:
6-3-6-10 Oversized Vehicles in Designated Shopping Centers It shall be
unlawful for any person to stand or park any truck; tractor, semi -trailer or other such
vehicle which weighs in excess of 5 tons in any shopping center which has signs posted
prohibitingsuch parking and which the owner of the shopping center has requested in
writing that the Village enforce parking regulations in the shopping center.
Section 3: Any person violating any of the provisions of this Ordinance shall be
subject to a fine of not less than twenty-five ($2.00) dollars nor more than five -hundred
($500.00) dollars for each offense.
Section 4: That the Village Clerk is authorized to publish this Ordinance in
pamphlet form.
Section 5. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage; approval and publication according to law.
