AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 6-2-2 AND SECTION 6-2-6 OF
CHAPTER 2 OF TITLE 6 OF THE VILLAGE CODE OF ELK GROVE
VILLAGE PERTAINING TO VEHICLE LICENSE FEES AND SECTION
6-5-4 C. DOG AND CAT LICENSE TAG FEE
BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove
Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That Section 6-2-2 A. Fees Established of the Village Code of the Village of
Elk Grove Village be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
A. Antique vehicle $ 3.00
Dealer plate 25.00
Motor bicycle and scooter 20.00
(150 cc piston displacement
or less)
Motorcycle 25.00
(over 150 cc piston displacement)
Passenger car 25.00
Recreational vehicle 30.00
School bus 60.00
Trucks — having the foregoing
gross weight, including the
weight of the vehicle and
maximum load:
Not more than 8,000 pounds 50.00
More than 8,000 pounds
but less than 16,001 pounds 75.00
More than 16,000 pounds
but less than 32,001 pounds 100.00
More than 32,000 pounds

The horsepower and weight shall be determined in the manner
prescribed by statute for determining these factors for the purpose
of fixing state license fees. (Ord. 2976, 2-10-2004; amd. Ord.
2981, 3-23-2004: Ord. 3097, 9-26-2006)
Section 2: That Section 6-2-2 B. Replacement License Sticker of the Village Code be
amended by changing the cost of the transfer fee from $2.00 to $3.00.
Section 3: That Section 6-2-2 C. Reduced Rates for Certain Persons of the Village Code
be amended by increasing the reduced fee of $.50 to a reduced fee of $3.00.
Section 4: That Section 6-2-6 Penalties of the Village Code be amended to read as follows:

A separate offense shall be deemed committed for each day during which a
violation occurs or continues. (Ord. 2215, 2-25-1992)
Section 5: That Section 6-5-4 C. Dog and Cat License Fee and Tag of the Village Code
be amended by increasing the fee from $4.00 to $5.00.
Section 6: That the Village Clerk is authorized to publish this Ordinance in pamphlet form.
Section 7: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage,
approval and publication according to law.
