AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 6-4-5-4 FIRE LANES OF THE VILLAGE
CODE BY ESTABLISHING A MINIMUM PENALTY OF $50.00 FOR ANY PERSON
VIOLATING ANY OF THE PROVISIONS OF SAID SECTION
BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove
Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That Section 6-4-5-4 be amended by adding thereto a new paragraph which
shall read as follows:
E. Penalty: Any person violating any of the provisions of this
Section shall be fined not less than $50.00 nor more than $500.00
for each offense.
Section 2: That Section 6-4-9 Penalty be amended to read as follows:
6-4-9 Penalty Any person violating any of the provisions of this
Chapter; unless otherwise provided, shall be fined not less than
$25.00 nor more than $500.00 for each offense.
Section 3: That the Village Clerk is hereby authorized to publish this ordinance in
pamphlet form.
Section 4: That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage,
approval and publication according to law.
