Home My WebLink AboutORDINANCE - 3233 - 4/27/2010 - POSITION/SALARY CLASSIFICATIONORDINANCE NO. 3233 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE POSITION CLASSIFICATION AND SALARY PLANS: THE CLASSIFICATION PLANS: AND SALARY RANGE FOR, MERIT PAY PLAN POSITIONS, STEP PAY PLAN POSITIONS, AND SPECIFIC PAY PLAN POSITIONS OF THE VILLAGE CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois as follows: Section 1: That the Position Classification and Salary Plan, the Classification Plan; and Salary Range or Merit Pay Plan Position; as referenced in Title 1, Chapter 7, Section 1-7-5 of the Village Code be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: Plans are hereby established to provide proper compensation for each job. These Plans are as follows: A. A Merit Salary Plan for Non -Union Executive, Administrative, Supervisory, Technical, and Professional employees as adjusted; B. A Non -Union Step Pay Plan as adjusted for non -supervisory employees; C. Step Pay Plan as negotiated for Unionized employees; D. Specific Rate Pay Plan for School Crossing Guards, Custodians, PW Industrial Meter Reader, Health Code Enforcement Officer, Cable Production Assistant, Residential Meter Readers, Summer Employees and Interns. The Classification Plan The Schematic Outline of Occupational Titles, including a class code and the list of authorized Positions by departments, shall constitute the Classification Plan, copies of which are on file in the Office of the Village Clerk. All positions in each class shall be compensated in accordance with their designated Salary Plan. Salary Range for Non -Union Merit Pay Plan Positions May 1, 2009 pay plan remains in effect for next Fiscal Year. Non -Union General Step Pay Plan Positions May 1, 2009 pay plan remains in effect for next Fiscal Year. Specific Rate Pay Plan Positions May 1, 2009 pay plan remains in effect for the next Fiscal Year. Section 2: That the longevity for full-time Step Pay Plan non-union employees shall be and are hereby amended on November 1, 2010 as follows: 10 to 14 Years: $525 15 to 19 Years: $625 20 + Years: $725 Section 3: That the management enhancement plan for full-time Merit Pay Plan non-union employees shall be and are hereby amended on November 1, 2010 as follows: Group I: $875 Group lI: $975 Group III: $1025 Group IV: $1075 Group V: $1375 Section 4: That the salary for Non -Union Employees of the Village of Elk Grove Village who intend to retire shall be and are hereby amended on a non -precedential basis as follows: Effective May 1, 2010, any non-union employee who elects to retire prior to April 30, 2011 shall, effective May 31, 2010, receive a 3.25 % increase to their base wage on a non -precedential basis, subject to the following conditions: 1. The employee shall, no later than May 28, 2010, provide the Human Resources Office a non -revocable notice of their desire to receive pension benefits on or before April 30, 2011. Said notice shall be made on a form provided by the Village to be executed by the Village. 2. The non-union employee shall have an amount equal to 3.25% of their base wage deducted from other non -salary compensation, extending over the period beginning May 31, 2010 through a date ending two weeks prior to retirement. 11 Section 5: That the salary for non-union employees participating in the Elk Grove Village Fire Pension Fund or the Elk Grove Village Police Pension Fund shall be increased by 3.25% for the fiscal year May 1, 2010 through April 30, 2011 provided that said increase shall be deferred until April 18, 2011. Section 6: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect as of May 1, 2010 and upon its passage and approval according to law.
