AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2994 AUTHORIZING THE ELK
GROVE VILLAGE FIRE AND POLICE COMMISSION TO INCREASE THE
APPLICATION PROCESSING FEE FOR CANDIDATES TO THE FIRE AND POLICE
DEPARTMENTS
WHEREAS; the Fire and Police Commission has recommended to the Village Board an
increase in the application processing fee for candidates to the Fire and Police Departments; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, after
having reviewed the recommendation of said Fire and Police Commission; find and believe that
it is in the best interest of the Village to increase the application processing fee from $20.00 to
$35.00 as recommended.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Elk Grove Village; Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois as follows:
Section 1: The Village hereby authorizes the Fire and Police Commission to charge a
$35.00 application processing fee for all candidates to the Fire and Police Departments.
Section 2: That the increase in the application processing fee is effective September 29,
2010.
Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage
and approval according to law.
VOTE: AYES: 5 NAYS: 0 ABSENT: 1
