A RESOLUTION APPROPRIATING FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,563,000 FOR
THE BUSSE ROAD (IL ROUTE 83) AND GREENLEAF AVENUE INTERSECTION
IMPROVEMENT KNOWN AS STATE SECTION 09-00056-00-CH
WHEREAS, the Village of Elk Grove Village has entered into an AGREEMENT with
the STATE OF ILLINOIS for the improvement of the Busse Road (IL Route 83) and Greenleaf
Avenue intersection, known as State Section; 09-00056-00-CH, and
WHEREAS, in compliance with the aforementioned AGREEMENT, it is necessary for
the Village to appropriate sufficient funds to pay its share of the cost of said improvement.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE Mayor and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Elk Grove Village, Cook and DuPage Counties of Illinois, as follows:
Section 1: That there is hereby appropriated the sum of one million five hundred
sixty three thousand dollars ($1,563,000) or so much thereof as may be necessary, from any
money now or hereinafter allotted to the Village to pay its share of the cost of this improvement
as provided in the AGREEMENT: and
Section 2: That upon award of the contract for this improvement, the Village will pay
to the STATE in a lump sum from any funds allotted to the Village, an amount equal to 70%of
its obligation incurred under this AGREEMENT, and will pay to said STATE the remainder of
the obligation in a lump sum, upon completion of the project based on final costs.
Section 3: That the Village agrees to pass a supplemental resolution to provide any
necessary funds for its share of the cost of this improvement if the amount appropriated herein
proves to be insufficient, to cover said cost.
Section 4: That the Village Clerk of the Village of Elk Grove Village shall transmit
two (2) certified copies of this Resolution to the District Office of the Illinois Department of
Transportation at Schaumburg, Illinois.
Section 5: That the Village Clerk is hereby authorized to publish this Resolution in
pamphlet form.
Section 6: That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage, approval and publication according to law.
